Mac, Rabbit, Thorny, Foster, and Farva are back in uniform after an amazing crowdfunding effort by the fans of Broken Lizard. Jay Chandrasekhar (who also directs their films), Kevin Heffernan, Steve Lemme, Paul Soter, and Erik Stolhanske reprise their roles while adding familiar faces such as Rob Lowe (West Wing) Will Sasso (Mad TV), Seann William Scott (American Pie), Damon Wayans, Jr. (New Girl), the amazing Lynda Carter (Wonder Woman), and more.
This time around, the guys begin the story not as the Vermont Highway Patrolmen but as constructions workers, losing their jobs after an infamous incident with a well-known celebrity. They get a second chance with their captain (Brian Cox) after it is discovered that the American border should have gone a bit farther north to a small town in Quebec. While trying to deal with the locals in the transition, they stumble upon something much bigger, which becomes their next big case.
It has been a long time since I have left a movie in a better mood then when I walked in. This film truly pulls you in, gives you an escape from your reality, and spits you back out with a smile on your face. Rated “R“ for many reasons in the same vein as their other films (Beerfest, Super Troopers, Club Dread), they still earn that rating with every scene without going farther than they need to get the audience reaction they desire. I don’t want to give anything away, so I am not going to go on. Go see this film and enjoy life for a couple of hours!
